It was a dark and stormy evening. No kidding. Bacchus and I spent the hour before sunset walking around the Cove yesterday. It was just us boys, and Bacchus decided to sniff his way south-west along the newly opened section of the walkway along the beach front. As we neared the end of the old walkway, we noticed some policemen cordoning off a small area in one of the homes under construction. Ah, it must have been a work-related accident or client-contractor disagreement. Nothing could be more mundane: the workers had discovered an unexploded bomb. There it was, protruding from the garden. Keen to learn a little about the origin of the bomb, I chatted with other interested bystanders nearby. Unknown to me, Bacchus was happily sniffing away around where the bomb lay. Perhaps he fancies himself as a part of the Police's Canine Unit, or Bomb Disposal Unit. No, he didn't pee on it. We continued our exploration. It is really quite a sight: the area is very well maintained and the stormy weather made for an even enjoyable experience, as these photos show.
