He loves denim

He loves denim

After a long day chasing kids and barking at random things, being cuddled and stroked by some many people, and being treated to so many doggies snacks, poor Bacchus doesn't know what to do and takes shelter between my legs. Later, upstairs in the apartment, he is back to his devilsih best.

A couple of days in Ubud has recharged us - but it has also left us with this music streaming out of our subconscious.

In appreciation of United's forthcoming game versus Barcelona (and this afternoon's game at Hull), we have our household's third-most fanatical United supporter.

The disaster of that ludicrous film "Marley and Me", filled to the brim with puke-inducing sentimentality and claptrap, led me to despair at the past and future of proper Canine films; not least among the failings of "Marley and Me" is the very absence of canine representation. Surely our friends are deserving of a more accurate and intelligent portrayal? Fortunately, the recent 22nd Singapore International Film Festival brought two gems to these shores. Both Dean Spanley and Wendy & Lucy engage and explore in ways which get to the very heart of our relationship with our best friends.

The Figgs are one of the best bands around - and they have been around for years and years. Probably one of my favourite Top Five bands, in company with The Posies, and others. I ordered a couple of CDs, including their "live" release "Continue To Enjoy The Figgs Vol. 2", and Stomper Music promptly shipped them. (Thanks, guys!) Funny thing, though; this is what happened:
[...] let us know when your order arrives because the woman at the post office added China under Singapore!
That is funny!

See, The Real Secret with babies is this. With each child, God - or Mother Earth, or Fate, or The Divine or howsoever one describes "it" - miraculously gives you more of Life. I swear this is true. If you don't believe me, just do the math. Say you sleep for 5 hours a day for the first 18 months of your baby's life. That's three hours less sleep per day than normal. So you see, God has granted us Lucky Parents an extra One Thousand Six Hundred and Twenty hours.

We've been busy lately. Well, I have. Baby, on the other hand, has been up to no good. In fact, she's started picking her nose. grvnosejob It doesn't seem to faze her that it's her mom's nose that she is picking.
